Starbucks @ Brooks City Base Review:
This is the Starbucks closest to where I live. There are only a couple of staff members here that can made it a pleasurable experience to buy your coffee here. Most of the staff is too busy talking to each other to pay any attention to their customers. I have repeatedly gotten the wrong order, not gotten something I have ordered, or not gotten my drink AT ALL. I have stood waiting for upto 30 minutes waiting for my coffee before when I have seen others come and go. Then I have gone up to the barista and asked about my coffee then they will say they forgot to make it and I get it in a couple of minutes.
Over Christmas holiday I ordered a Caramel Brulee Latte. I waited for 30 minutes for it. I saw people coming and going with their coffees. The place was packed and I was not sure who had been waiting and who had just come in because I was texting on my phone. I then noticed what was going on and paid close attention. I noticed that the people who had just ordered received their drink right away.
I asked the barista if my drink was ready. She told me, "Oh we are out of Caramel Brulle." I explained that I was not told that and that is what I ordered and paid for. The cashier came over and said she was sorry she did not know they were out. I calmly explained that it was a mistake and it was OK, but what I could not understand was why NO ONE said anything to me, forgot about my drink ,and just did not make me one. They said they were sorry, I said no problem if they could make me a caramel latte and I would be happy. My fiancee was in the cold car in the rain in the parking lot waiting on me. That is who I was texting.
I am a completely calm person, I have worked retail for over 30+ years and my family has owned their fair share of businesses, so I completely understand mistakes. However, to continuously have this happen time and time again to customers is unacceptable.
This is not the only complaint I have for this location. Their table are continuously sticky and not washed well. Their milk is spoiled 6 out of every 10 glasses I purchase. You can smell the spoiled milk. They leave their milk out on the counter as they are working. I have sat for hours working at this location on "coffee" breaks and have personally seen this. I started to purchase soy instead of milk in my coffee because soy is less used than the milk and thus stays in the refrigerator much longer.
Please be aware of this and if you have digestive issues directly after drinking one of their coffees from this location please contact the store.
I will keep my eye on this location for improvements and when and if I see them my blog will be updated!
Starbucks makes gourmet coffees as well as espresso. They make fancy snacks such as yogurt with fresh berries and toppings, fresh sandwiches, croissant wraps, breakfast sandwiches with healthy ingredients, croissants, cookies, cake pops, brownies, and snack packs.
They offer juices, water and organic milks for little ones.

The front is so cute.
My son making his coffee just right! The staff in 2014 was amazing! The turnover here is bad. I rarely see the same barista or cashier for more than 6 months.
