What is Skillet Mix you ask?

Skillet Mix is ground beef with spices mixed in. The spices are mostly a blend of Mexican Food spices.

What can you use Skillet Mix for?

My family loves it when I use Skillet Mix in Spaghetti, for Taco Meat, In some box dinners such as Taco helpers, or the 4 cheese helpers.

DO NOT  ... attempt to use Skillet mix for hamburgers they will taste odd and no one will eat them. (see comments below)

Some helpers do not go well with Skillet mix, it is a trial and error and taste preference.

This skillet mix is found in the hamburger or ground beef section, on the top shelf and is much cheaper. Therefore those on a budget or with very little money can use this ground beef mix to stretch a dish to feed more people.

This Skillet Mix is usually anywhere from $1.00-$2.70.  It comes in a 1 pound roll, and sometimes you may find it in the 3 pound roll at certain HEB's.

See blogger visitors comments below for some great reciepe ideas.
