Spider House Cafe

This restaurant is very Boho Chic, Kitchy, and Hipster all at one time. It is very inviting and has lovely things to look at at every turn without being overly cluttered.  It looks like the items in the restaurant/patio are from local artists.

A bit of information about their decor from their website:

The Outdoor Patio blanketed in Christmas lights, has earned itself national attention from travel and destination blogs. It includes one-of-a-kind antiques and art installation pieces, a novelty collection of garden statues, and an abundance of booths, swings, and table tops. The premises includes two outdoor stages, including an Outdoor Tented “Chapel” area perfect for outdoor events and film screenings which comes equipped with it’s own Tiki Bar, making it perfect for private party rentals!
They have a ballroom on the other side of the cafe and they have special events in there quite often. They also rent out the ballroom for events.  Please see their website for more information.

Below are pics of the restaurant and patio from Spider House website:

It has been in Austin since 1995, Spider House Patio Bar & Cafe has a very laid back environment, free wifi and is open until 2AM every night. It is a great place for meetings, a girls day out, a guys night out and anything in-between.

They have Gourmet coffees which are wonderful.  My co-traveler had a cappuccino which smelled lovely and looked devine.  I had a Dirty Horchata Coffee which is devine, needs a bit of sugar for my tastes but great just the same. Coffee is $2.75-$4.25

Me and my Traveling Companion had the Greek Salad, I had the turkey she had the chicken.
Salad is $7.50 adding meat is $1.50.  The salad was served in a huge bowl, it was very fresh and quite delicious.

Below are some pics from their website of food plates that they offer.  I saw quite a few plates served and they are all just as beautiful.

Below is the menu from the Spider House Website:

The restrooms were quite clean the door slides closed and is hidden. That took me a bit to figure out. It was like exploring your eclectic aunties house to figure out where everything is and how it all works!

There is free parking as well as decent bike parking for those who like to be environmentally sound.  If traveling in Austin, UBER is readily available and, after speaking to some of the locals, it is inexpensive and very quickly arrived at your location.

I had a wonderful time. The wait staff was great, very attentive, the place got quite busy after a bit but there was still plenty of room for seating inside as well as outside.
