SAN ANTONIO — Inspectors gave Jack In The Box on 1818 Foster Road on the Northeast Side a 73 -- a passing score but the inspector found some issues.
Among the violations...
- Grease accumulation on the exhaust vent was dripping onto the grill
- Dirty surfaces that come into contact with food
- No written food policy for employees
- Employees not washing hands correctly
- Leaky hand faucet
- Food stored without dates
- No test strips for sanitizing solutions
- Employees not wearing hair restraints, like hats or hair nets
Now a lot of those things are pretty bad as far as I am concerned. I have eaten here in the past and the restaurant was clean inside, the restrooms were OK when I have visited. But it has been a while.
Please keep in mind that restaurants have an allotted amount of time to have these items fixed before re-inspection. However, since the score was passing, will the inspectors go back to do a re-inspection? I do not know.
Eat at your own risk.
