After having a career and college degrees, and working hard for most of my life, I found myself becoming "Lady of the House" overnight due to some health issues.
So instead of dreading this new position in life I embraced it. My husband and I have always shared an infinity for the Vintage life. Now he is a modern man, I was brought up in the Donna Reed, I Love Lucy era... No I am not that old. However, when I was young that is what was on television as re-runs every day after school.
Now with that being said I know television is "Make Believe", however, my hubby and I felt there was something to it. Family values, instilling in our children to be strong and make wise decisions, the hubby (or wife if your roles are reversed) is the head of the household and me as the new "Lady of the House" had a job title as well.
My Role was to ensure that hubby was able to have a great day and come home with as little stress as possible, this made my life less stressful as well.
We are teaching our children (boys and girls) domestic chores as well as life skills and how to work hard to earn your lifestyle.
I found that other women shared in my thinking that we need to make sure that our family has values, morals, spends time together, and they wanted to become "Ladies of Leisure or Lady of the House (or Manor) " as well.

I started a blog recently to keep me busy and help other moms who are on a budget find great values, great food at great prices, and share recipes that won't break the bank, tips and tricks for Household jobs big and small.
This blog started out as a Local Food and Restaurant Review. My theory is that if dinner takes more than 30 minutes including prep time it is a waste of my time spent with my family.

Also am obsessed with Vintage style diners as well as dishes, kitchen ware, lifestyle, clothing and etc, So I started blogging on these things as well.
I started a Facebook Group Called "How to be a Good Stepford Wife... and other girly things" to share some of my random thoughts, recipes, and the like. It has grown exponentially! I did not realize how many Women, Men of the Manor, and Stay at home Dads felt the same way we did. Some Women even say that it helped their marriages from emanate disaster! WOW!
The Facebook Group is a closed group to keep our members safe. If you would like to join our group and share there safely please do so https://www.facebook.com/groups/HowToBeAGoodStepfordwife/
We have members world wide and would love to have you!
I Believe it is vitally important to our American way of life,
Buy and visit local we are losing much of our American Heritage with Mom & Pop diners and shops closing due to Big Business.
Enjoy my blog and comment on your own experiences, or leave me comments on what you would like to see posted here!

I Believe it is vitally important to our American way of life,
and our economy, to support our locally owned diners, restaurants, and eateries.
