Review of Brides Damask invitation kit # 634680784471 by Gartner studios

These invites are beautiful and you think WOW  I am going to have gorgeous invites for cheap.

Well here is my review...

The invites are gorgeous, make no mistake of that.  The paper quality is of high quality and very nice to handle.

To print the invites you have to go to www.gartnerstudios.com and
type in the last five #s of the invites  (78447) not the 1 .

Their website will open to all the templates you need to download, you will need word or a PDF program to download these.  I used Word 2003 and it worked perfectly.

All invite pieces printed perfectly in my cannon ink jet printer with no issues.  I used blank paper to practice on first instead of waiting invites.  They do give you one to practice on but if you don't use it to practice on that is one extra invite you can use for your guests.

There are a few things I don't like about these invites however.

  1. Is that they are NOT by Brides.  They are actually from Gartner Studios. Brides is just sponsoring them by using their name etc.
  2.  None of the stickers for the closure of the envelopes work. You will have to glue them to your invites.
  3. The address labels are NOT stickers, you will have to glue these to the outside of the envelopes as well.  You must use a good glue because of the texture of the paper.
  4. When they are in the mail they get destroyed before they arrive to their destination.  They get caught in everything.  I would suggest to glue the sides of the envelope down, however it will make it impossible to open the invite without destroying it anyway.
  5. They cost $25.00 at Jo-Ann Fabrics but you can use a coupon if you have one.  However, don't forget you will need ink for your printer.  Depending on your ink price you may have been better off going to a professional printer for less.
If you are handing the invites to folks they are amazing and look fabulous.

I give these a 3 out of 5 stars due to the fact that you have to glue things you should not have to and they get destroyed in the mail as well as the cost to print.
